I'm sorry to break it to you guys but summer officially ends in 32 days - how depressing. Can you believe we're more than halfway through August already?...

Going into autumn will be a little bittersweet for me, I feel like I didn't really get to enjoy summer that much since I've been so busy with numerous things, and we hardly got any good weather over here in the UK, I mean, don't get me wrong I am so blessed and so many good things have happened these past few months, but it feels like summer has flown by. But on the brighter side, I love autumn, it's my second favorite season after winter, watching the leaves turn to beautiful shades of reds, browns, and oranges, the chilled nights with movies and of course the fashion and makeup!

If it's one thing that I'll be taking with me from summer to autumn - it's the kimono trend. Anyone else have a major love affair with kimonos right now or is it just me?

Autumn is a milder version of winter, therefore your wardrobe should have lighter versions of winter essentials - and that is why the kimono is such a great investment. For me, they're more of a chic and stylish alternative to a cardigan or a duster jacket and because they are so lightweight, they are ideal for both summer and autumn. What's fabulous about the kimono that i'm wearing, is it's such a perfect compliment to upgrade and dress-up a basic tee and jeans. They’re great for when you want some coverage on a windy day but it’s not quite cold enough for a jumper or coat. And you don't need to feel as though you should buy a kimono in a floral print, pattern or solid there are some amazing and pretty kimonos out there.

It’s not cold enough yet for a full on winter jacket, but this kimono jacket will do the trick!
