Every morning like clockwork, just before I step out the house, I give myself a little spritz of my favourite perfume, it's such mood lifter and I can't go out without it. I'm sure we all have that one bottle of perfume we reach for over and over again, day in day out and never tire of it.

For me though, fragrance shopping can be a job and a half, it's no easy task. Some of us like that strong musky smell, whilst some like the lighter floral scents. Clive Christian's noble collection VII  gourmand perfume is truly one of the most beautiful scents I've smelt in a long time. But what is a gourmand perfume you may ask? Well, if you're a foodie (like myself) this one's for you - Gourmand fragrances smell good enough to eat and contain some of your favourite ingredients, think: chocolate, apple, cherry, even spices like pink pepper, sounds lovely right?

One key thing that I look for in a perfume is its longevity. There's probably nothing worse than buying a fragrance that costs an arm and a leg which scent doesn't last long at all. And this where Clive Christain gets everything right.

These aren't your typical fragrances though. Each perfume carefully created in Paris evokes confidence to the one wearing it. A little bit goes such a long way, you can wear this fragrance during the day and feel like a boss, and pop a little bit on in the evening and feel like an alluring queen.

And that's the great thing about finding your perfume personality, it explains who you are without you having to say a word. I'm sure we've all had that instance where we've walked past a person on the street and caught a whiff of their perfume, and thought to yourself 'oh my gosh that smells so nice, what are they wearing?!'. Your perfume says a lot about you, it speaks volumes. Your perfume is distinctive and personal to you.

''There are no women who do not like perfume, there are women who have not found their scent''  – Marilyn Monroe

I've created myself a little perfume wardrobe with fragrances ranging from M&S, Victoria Secret to Yves Saint Laurent. I have an endless love affair with fragrances. It all started back in secondary school, I would always have an aerosol body spray in my back pack, and ever since then, in my bag, you will always find some sort of perfume.

So whether you're a fresh floral type of person or a musky spicy kinda gal Clive Christian has something for everyone. Their luxury perfumes would make a lovely gift for the other half.

Aside from makeup, whats the one thing us women can't live without? It has to be perfume.

I actually find it really easy to shop for fragrances – I’m so not picky I think a fragrance would have to be really quite terrible in order for me not to like it! However, I will for sure be keeping Clive Christian in mind the next time I’m ready to top up on some perfume!
